A dark, disturbing mindset revealed at the Sydney Writers Festival by LGBT activist Masha Gessen

I’m sure there are many decent people who are genuinely committed to SSM on the basis of equality however a quick YouTube search of LGBT activist Masha Gessen at the Sydney Writers Festival reveals a brutal and disturbing, underlying mindset.
Without a scintilla of ambiguity and to enthusiastic, uproarious and predictable applause from the packed audience, Gessen says that “..fighting for gay marriage involves lying about what we’re going to do with marriage when we get there.” She continues  “We lie that the institution of marriage is not going to change and that is a lie. The institution of marriage is going to change and it should change and I don’t think it should exist..”
Gessen’s own domestic arrangements involving three children and five parents (one involving her own brother) also bends the mind and has to be slowly walked through for the audience.
I imagine that most people assume that if someone is arguing inequality they must have a case and they therefore frame their views and their vote accordingly, unaware of, and despite the overwhelming state and federal legislative evidence to the contrary
But as two of the great propagandists of the 20th Century, Goebels and Lenin said similarly, “A lie told once remains a lie but told a thousand times becomes the truth.”
